Transition Academy: session 4 at Raytown Education Center

The purpose of the Transition Academy is to provide professional development that will enhance the effectiveness of transition planning in order to ensure successful post-school outcomes for students with disabilities.
This fourth session will focus on
  • Exploring programs for students aged 18-21 being served by public schools;and Sharing existing programs in the KC area such as school-based enterprises, job shadowing, and Job Olympics.
Representatives from Vocational Rehabilitation and similar organizations will receive discounted a registration fee of $25.00.

 Ask the Expert event online at the Missouri Community of Practice www.missouritransition.org on the topic of: Comprehensive School Programs for Student Employment – Featuring Sally Morgan-Smith, North Kansas City School District & Marilyn Smith, Special School District, St. LouisSally and Marilyn will share information and respond to questions about the continuum of options to engage students in employment including: school-based employment/training programs that include paid and unpaid community-based vocational training/employment, paid employment, and VR COOP. (Free and open to all transition professionals)
