Two topics will be covered in this Transition Academy Session. The morning will be Effective Strategies for Interagency Collaboration. Participants will learn what interagency collaboration is, stages of collaboration to reach a common goal, and characteristics of effective transition professionals and LEAs (local education agencies) who collaborate with numerous adult agencies.
The afternoon session topic is Summary of Performance (SOP). We know we have to provide a Summary of Performance, but there are many myths and unanswered questions. This session will focus on the required documentation and the purpose behind the documentation. Strategies will be presented to involve students in the process as part of the IEP Form “C” services and self-determination curriculum competencies.
This training is one of the four sessions of the Transition Academy. The 4 day Transition Academy is $85.00 less than attending the 4 Transition Academy Sessions separately.
